Sujatha Daruwo

Prevention strategies based on scientific evidence working with families, schools, and communities can ensure that children and youth, especially the most marginalized and poor, grow and stay healthy and safe into adulthood and old age. For every Rupee spent on prevention, at least ten can be saved in future health, social and crime costs.
Preventive Education and Training Unit of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board was instructed by the chairmen of NDDCB to make new improvement to meet the necessities of outside people that involving with drug problems as well as other enumerator deviation.
Effective drug abuse prevention programmes assist to acquire the knowledge and develop the attitudes and skills to avoid drug abuse. A range of activities that maintain a balance between accurate, easy to understand information; exploration of their own as well as others values and attitudes; and opportunities to learn and practice special skills, should be selected.
National Dangerous Drugs Control Board in Collaborating with Mahaweli authority conduct the sujtha daruwo program since 2016.
Major objective the program is establish Sujatha Daruwo National Society and make an action plan to change the attitude and improve and behaviors of the people towards a drug free life and improve the health and wellness of the people in mahaweli systems.
We are pleased that sujatha Daruwo Volunteer Community leaders of the program are reaching their goals in a great success.
